Jayaram in Vijay's film

After sharing the screen with Ajith for a film recently, popular Malayalam actor Jayaram is all set to share the screen with Vijay for his next. Directed by Murugadoss, Vijay plays the lead role in his Thuppaki.  Jayaram's last outing in Kollywood was Prashanth's Ponnar Shankar and now he will be doing a significant role in director A R Murugadoss' Thuppakki. Says Jayaram, ' I am impressed with the character narrated to me by Murugadoss and I had no hesitation in doing it'.

    Vijay, who visited Shine Special School in Madurai, meant for mentally challenged children, and he met fans gathered beforeKalavasal hotel in Madurai where Vijaystayed.  Speaking about the importance of friendship, Vijay said that a person may not be able to share everything with his family but with friends he can share all his feelings. Vijay said that he is what he is today after a lot of struggle during his initial days. The actor recalled that his parents were not too happy with his career choice as they wanted him to become a doctor but he to undergo a lot of struggle to reach the position where he is now.

It seems like Ilayathalapathy Vijay fans are so happy with the consecutive success of their star. Vijay has finally gave a Hat-Trick hit with Kaavalan, Velayudham and recentNanban. Vijay fans who got together wished to celebrate this grand success that's when this Thalapathy Anthem was born.  The song was presented by Vijay fanVatsan's Go-Mukha team which includes his friends Dinesh and Amogh. The Making Video song was released on Youtube and within few hours it crossed 1lakh hits. Vijay fans felt so delightful and the news finally reached the star himself. Vijay called upon them and wished them success in achieving their dreams.  Vatsan also appeared in the film Engeyum Eppothum where he falls in love with a young girl in the bus Journey.

The actor has signed his 55th film with Gautham Vasudev Menon and 56th film AL Vijay respectively.   Even the GVM project has been titled asYohan: Adhiyayam Ondru. But when Vijay fans are wondering about the title of AL Vijay's film.   AL Vijay started working deeply to give an apt title which will suit Vijay's mass image. Sources say that Vijay's 56th film has got a massive title which be revealed soon.   Also GV Prakash Kumar has been roped in for this project and Nirav Shah will be doing the Cinematography.

Sathyan in Vijay’s Thuppaki

Following the success of Nanban, Sathyanis going great guns. He is part of his nextThuppaki, where he plays a pivotal role alongside Vijay.    He says that the role was offered to him by director A R Murugadoss after watching his performance in Nanban .   Says Sathyan, 'I signed up for Thuppakibefore completing Nanban. I play a very pivotal role, one that is as important as the hero's in the film,' he says.

Vijay's Nanban successful 25 days

Vijay has proved that he can pull the crowd to the theaters with his splendid performance.   Nanban which got released this Pongal was said to run packed houses in the weekend and with around 70 percentage seat capacity in the weekdays.    Shankar who directed the remake version of 3 Idiots has chosen the right persons for each roles and that's the secret of success adds trade circles.   Nanban has Vijay, Jeeva, Srikanth, Ileana, Sathyan, Sathyaraj in the lead roles with music byHarris Jayaraj.   The film marks its successful 25 days run today.

Grand Success of Telugu Nanban in Andhra box office.

While Nanban is rocking in box office across all centres in Tamil Nadu, the Telugu version doesn't turn out to be an exception as Snehitudu is making huge waves in Andhra box office. The Telugu version had a grand reception with the makers of original version 3 Idiots – Rajkumar Hirani and actor Sharman Joshi appreciating Shankar and his entire team that Nanban is best than original version in many aspects. According to the trade reports, the first week share of collection for Snehithudu is 5.37 Crores.

Vijay-Asin together again

Asin, who moved to Bollywood in 2008, is likely to make a comeback to Tamil cinema this year. She has reportedly been signed for the Vijay's movie which is the remake of Malayalam hit 'Bodyguard' starring Dileep and Nayantara. Sivaraju Venkatraju, who last made 'Priymanavale' with Vijay in 2000 will produce this new film. Siddique who directed the original will direct the Tamil version also. Siddique and Vijay combination earlier rocked in the comedy riot ‘Friends’. For Asin this film is a sort of comeback to Tamil. After her first Hindi film ‘Ghajini’ with Aamir Khan becoming super hit, her next film ‘London Dreams’ with Salman Khan bombed. So she is desperate to keep her top star status and image intact. But of course Asin never said she will not do a Tamil film after moving to Bollywood. Asin and Vijay pair was very successful with films like 'Pokkiri' and 'Sivakasi' doing wonders at the box office. Raj Kiran and Roja in Kavalkaran

The Vijay-Asin starrer Kavalkaran went on floors recently and shooting is going on in full swing in Karaikudi region in Tamil Nadu. Director Siddique has roped in several well-established actors and actresses to play important roles in the film. Earlier, Raj Kiran was signed up to play Asin’s dad in the film. The news now is that Roja will pair up with Raj Kiran to play the leading lady’s mom. This means, Raj Kiran and Roja will be Vijay’s parents-in-law in Kavalkaran.

Kaavalkaran title changed to Kaavalan

Vijay’s new film with Siddique has gone for a title change for the third time. When the film started had the MGR film title ‘Kaavalkaran’ hoping to cash in on the ever green popularity of MGR films. But when the original producers of the MGR movie Sathya Movies objected, the title was changed to ‘Kaaval Kaadhal’. But the second title did not find encouraging reactions from even among Vijay fans. So now the title has been again changed to ‘Kaavalan’. Another major development with the film according to sources is that director Shakthi Chidambaram has purchased the film lock stock and barrel including its negative rights. This sudden development has taken many by surprise. When most of the Tamil community is up in arms against the film because of Asin and the overseas business is in threat, Shakthi Chidambaram’s move is being viewed with mixed reaction.
