Audio release of the Pandiraj directed Vamsam was held today in Sathyam cinemas, Chennai. Vamsam serves as the launch pad of Arulnidhi, the latest Gen Y entrant to Tamil cinema from the Kalaignar family. The event saw an impressive turn out of VVIPs from the State and Central Ministries and celebrities from the K town. CM Karunanidhi chaired the event and released the first audio to Suriya and Vijay. Interestingly, Suriya and Vijay shared the dais with the CM thus unwittingly replacing the age old custom of the two kingpins of Tamil cinema Rajinikanth and Kamalhassan sharing the podium with him in film events. The kingpins both were not present at the event. With almost every grandson in the family of Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi foraying into tinsel town, Arulnidhi isn’t an elision. The newcomer is all set for the release of his debut film ‘Vamsam’ that is directed by ‘Pasanga’ fame Pandiraj. Produced by Arulnidhi’s father M.K. Tamizharasu, the film’s shooting has been completed now.Chief Minister Kalainyar M. Karunanidhi will be releasing the film’s music on this Friday (July 2) at Sathyam Cinemas with actors Vijay and Surya receiving the first copies. Tamil Film Producers Council President Ramanarayanan, lyric writer Vaali and Sasikumar will be guests of honor.Mahesh Muthusamy (Camera), Taj Noor (Music), Yoga Bhaskar (Editing), Vaali, Na. It’s official that Suriya’s Aadhavan will take on (Sun Picture's) Vijay’s Vettaikaran, this Diwali! Abirami Mega Mall’s newspaper ads appearing on August 28, have clearly indicated that both the biggies are going to be their –“Grand Diwali Attraction”. A few days back, Vijay had said in an interview to a newspaper “Vettaikaran will release 100 percent on Diwali day 2009. It's racy entertainer which will be a treat to watch.
